Zonta International is a worldwide service organization of executives in business  and the professions working together to advance the status of women.

Zonta International is an organization with approximately 33,000 members in more than 1200 clubs in 67 countries.

**We meet the 3rd Thursday of each month 6:00pm at “The Way Church” 2940 Georgetown Pkwy, Fenton, MI 48430 

Sister to Sister events occur during the year to allow members to network and socialize with one another.

SERVICE Projects:

Safe Dates > Seminars for teens and parents on the education of signs of teen dating violence.

Human Trafficking Symposiums held once a year. Hear about the current facts & policies.

Comfort Pillows for Mastectomy Patients recovering from surgery are sewn every year and distributed to the ACS.

Scholarship program for Women entering into or back into college.

 

ADVOCACY Projects:

Educating the community and writing our legislators about Women’s issues, such as; ERA, The Campus Accountability Act (sexual assault on campuses) Human Trafficking Bills etc.

 

Past years of fundraising and Service Projects…

Safety Town(Currently the Kiwanis Club hosts Safety Town) Our 20th year! Safety Town was a huge successful final year! This was a week long program with 2 sessions per day for children ages 4yrs to 5yrs old. Many volunteers from our community taught during this week, from our local Police Officers, Teachers, Fire Department. Water Safety, Play ground, Fire, Animal safety was covered during this week as well as songs, and a graduation ceremony at the end of the week. The 2015 events was held the week of July 20th @ St. Johns Cafeteria.

Girls & Business. – Joint program with the Fenton Regional Chamber of Commerce for junior and senior girls to encourage them to pursue entrepreneurship

Golf Outing for  2015 was held at The Majestic at Lake Walden in Fenton May 18th.  proceeds to benefit YWCA of Greater Flint Safe House.
