Women who have mastectomy surgery will experience great pain at the surgical site for quite some time after the surgery. Comfort Pillows can help women handle this pain just a little bit better.
Comfort Pillows are made from a soft material, they are heart shaped with an adjustable strap that these women will use under their arm and at the surgical site to help in dealing with the pain that results from the surgery.
Every pillow is handmade by members of the Fenton Zonta Club. “We meet several times a year to produce as many of these pillows as we can” explains Denise Keipert. Typically the women of this Zonta club will make over 40 Comfort Pillows a year and donate every single one to the American Cancer Society, who then takes these pillows to the local hospitals for distribution to the women that need them.
